Gethsemane Lutheran Church Women (GLCW) is a part of the Women of the ELCA, and like the national body it "exists for mutual support and bold action on participants' faith in Jesus Christ." This is carried out through Mission Growth, Mission Community, and Mission Action.
Mission Growth includes Monthly Bible Study:

Mission Community
The aim of Mission Community is to enable each woman to value herself and others as created in God's image and redeemed through Christ, and to build up and celebrate realtionships which are global, diverse, and interdependent. A few of the ways in we strive to work in this area include sponsoring a primary student at the Navajo Lutheran Mission School in Rock Point, Arizona and by contributing to Buen Samaritano Preschool in Chile.
Mission in Action
Mission in action is about being in servant roles, acting to ensure that all people have access to basic human needs, equality, justice and safety. For the GLCW, this involves Project Day where women meet monthly to make quilts, being involved in the LWR Coffee Project, supporting the work of Lutheran Bible Translators, gathering supplies for a local elementary school, giving to God's Pantry and Church Women United, and gathering professional clothing items for the Hope Center for Women.
