PROJECT DAY -- Wed., Dec. 13, 9:30 a.m.
Yes, this is NOT our usual time, but it will allow us to complete our projects and still leave you lots of time to prepare for Christmas.  There will be work for both sewers and those not-so-inclined with the sewing gene.  Please join us for whatever time you can spare that morning and enjoy fellowship and fun while we work!

We break at noon for lunch together.  Bring a sandwich and we'll provide coffee/tea and dessert.

Hope you can join us!

                                                         GLCW  Christmas Auctions and More!
                                                             Friday, Dec. 1, 6:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m.

We hope you’ve marked the date already on your calendar.  It’s a great way to shop for Christmas and benefit GLCW for 2018 projects and enjoy appetizers, silent auction, dessert, Christmas Sing-a-Long with Rock Janecek, and culminating with the live auction!  Mike DeLong & Darrell Gosnell team up to make the live auction fun and funny.  Child care will be available.

The event is free!

Now we need YOUR HELP with the following:

Appetizers – everyone is asked to bring an item to share while we browse Silent Auction items

Auction items -- we’re counting on you to put your imagination and creativity to work to come up with items:  Be thinking about something(s) that you might bring for either Auction.  Items should be new unless they qualify as an antique.  Here are some possibilities:

Bottle of Wine – wine should cost at least $10.  (We’ll ‘sell’ them for $10 as part of the Wine Wall.)  Each bottle will be covered, so you will be surprised when the bottle is uncovered!  Please bring alcoholic wine.  (Non-alcoholic wine could be included in a basket or separate auction item.)

Specialty foods (candy, baked goods/breads, soups, etc.) -- already made or to offer as made-to-order for the person ‘buying’ them.

Skills or Talents you can teach or share -- creating a meal to order, offer to clean house or do outdoor work or paint, lessons (sewing, knitting, music, or??),  etc.

  • Art work; Woodwork; Handmade Crafts.
  • Baskets -- Spoil Your Grandkids, Coffee Break, Chocolate Delight,
  • Board games/Puzzles, Picnic Passion, Movie Night, Bar-b-q Chef,  Brunch hostess, etc.

But these are just a start.  We’re counting on your creativity as your guide!

Please bring all non-perishable auction items on Sunday, Nov. 19 or 26.

Perishable items can come with you on the day of the event.

Please join us for this fun fellowship event as well as help GLCW raise funds for their 2018 projects!
